5 Things We Think We Know About Moto E
Most of us are already aware that Motorola is planning to launch a brand new smartphone in India on May 13, 2014. In the recent past, the company has launched two smartphones in collaboration with Flipkart - Moto G and Moto X - and both of them have garnered a good response.
So we too are excited to see what Motorola has to offer next. Here are five things that we think we know about this forthcoming smartphone.
1) The Name: Earlier there had been some leaks that suggested that the forthcoming smartphone by Motorola will be called Moto E. Now the data obtained from the import site too confirms that this smartphone may indeed be christened Moto E.
2) Rugged smartphone: The Moto E will be a water-proof and a dust-proof smartphone.
3) Affordable: Motorola in its invite have mentioned "Price for all" device, which in itself is a big hint that this is one smartphone for the masses. In addition, as per the data available, various trade pundits are predicting that the Moto E will be priced around Rs. 9,000.
4) Available Through Flipkart: Much like the Moto G and Moto X, the forthcoming Moto E is also expected to be available only through Flipkart. We certainly hope that the smartphone is available through regular brick and mortar shops in the near future but for now the smartphone will be available exclusive to Flipkart.
5) Android 4.4 (KitKat): As it is a Motorola device, we are almost certain that it will be offer the latest iteration of Android out of the box.
Apart from this, the rumours also suggest that the Moto E will come with a 4.3-inch display. It is said to be powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It is expected to have 4GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot. For camera, there will be a 5MP rear snapper. The smartphone will pack in 1,900mAh battery.
The Moto E variant that will be launched in India will most likely be the one that supports dual-SIM capabilities.
Grapevine also suggests that the Moto E will have an ultra-thin body, which would be just 6.2-mm thick.
