Will Google Launch Nexus 8 At Its Annual Technology Conference?

The hint of a Nexus 8 popped up when a mysterious device was spotted in some Google code. According to a report by Myce, the Nexus 8 could be launched at the upcoming annual technology conference of Google. Google's I/O conference is slated to be held on June 25-26.

If we believe the report, references to the upcoming tablet have been found within the source code files for the latest builds of Android 4.4 KitKat.

The report also suggests that the tablet could pack a Tegra-based processor, possibly built on a 32-bit and a 64-bit architecture.

If this turns out to be a reality, the Nexus 8 will come in line with the iPad mini 2 and its 64-bit Apple A7 processor.

However, the report has not revealed much details and specifications of the device.

Earlier, Chromium Code Review boasts of references showed Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 in the making. Reports in April also suggested that the Nexus 8 would be made by HTC.

So let us hope we may see the Nexus 8 during Google's I/O developer conference.
